Why do Earnhardt fans hate Gordon?
Okay, I aint the biggest fan of Gordon, but heck he's kickin a** right now and I wont complain about it.

A beer can bounces off the hood of Jeff Gordons car after he won the NASCAR Aarons 499 auto race, breaking a tie with the late Dale Earnhardt on NASCARs career victory list, Sunday April 29, 2007, at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Ala.

Accept it, race fans: Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon were buddies. The old man respected the kid and took time to help him adjust to NASCAR's politics. Earnhardt recognized Gordon as a huge talent and cherished their on-track battles, knowing each victory was a win over a driver destined to go down as one of the best.

It's fact, yet many Earnhardt fans choose to ignore it. My Opinion on NASCAR

Monthly Review: April
April is finally over and a few story lines have reared up.Alex Rodriguez quickly silences the boos with one of the best offensive starts in baseball history. With a record tying 14 home runs and a record breaking 34 runs batted in. He has hit two game winning home runs with two outs in the ninth inning; a grand slam against Oakland and a three run shot against Cleveland. His 14 home runs in the month of April ties Albert Pujols' mark set last year and his 34 RBI breaks Juan Gonzalez's 1998 mark. Blindsided!
When the Carolina Panthers selected USC receiver Dwayne Jarrett in the second round of the NFL draft on Saturday Keyshawn Johnson was excited to not only have a fellow USC receiver but also have one that was, “just like him" in size and hands.

During and interview with Jarrett on ESPN’s coverage of the draft Johnson told him that he would watch out for him and show him the ropes obviously thinking that he would be around to do so. Unfortunately for Keyshawn the Panthers weren’t thinking the same thing. In fact they were thinking that since Jarrett was so much like Johnson and a lot younger that they decided to cut the former top pick in the draft in spite of paying him a $3 million dollar roster bonus just a month ago. Spectator behavior at Talladega: Worthy of an F

Winner Jeff Gordon and runnerup Dale Earnhardt Jr. seemed willing to laugh off or rationalize the behavior of fans at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. A multitude threw cans and other items on the track in protest of a correct NASCAR ruling that placed Gordon in the lead of the Aaron's 499 Nextel Cup race. NASCAR then ended an otherwise exciting race under caution because the preset red flag cutoff lap had passed. My Opinion on NASCAR

The Boss Gives Torre Kiss of Death
If you take a look at the AL East standings not only will you notice the New York Yankees in very last place but you will also notice that they are 6.5 games behind arch rival Boston who is sitting comfortably in first.

Because of this rumors were swirling over the weekend that Yankees Manager Joe Torre could be gone by Monday morning. With the Yankees dropping another series to the Red Sox it looked as if the writing is on the wall for Torree and the Boss all but affirmed that Monday morning in a brief statement. Chiefs Missed Opportunity with Green

I wrote two weeks ago that Trent Green would be a Miami Dolphin by the end of that week. Well, obviously I was wrong but part of the reason why is because it seems that Kansas City team president Carl Peterson is about as stubborn as they come.

The Dolphins offered Kansas City a sixth round pick draft pick for Green over the weekend but Peterson balked at the offer keeping Green in a Chiefs uniform for right now. My Opinion on Sports
