Blogging the NFL Week 10

Game of the Week: Chicago Bears at New York Giants – The Giants are literally falling apart having suffered a rash of injuries that includes the likes of LaVar Arrington, Michael Strahan and Amani Toomer. However, that hasn’t stopped receiver Plaxico Burress from giving the Bears some bulletin board material when he bagged on Chicago’s cornerbacks this week.

I like the Bears to bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Dolphins last week and take care of business in New York.

Game Not Worth Watching: San Francisco 49ers at Detroit Lions – I don’t even think the residents of California and Michigan care who wins this one.

Both of these teams are really bad but I think the 49ers are much worse. I’ll take the Lions to win at home. Yeah, I know they both are coming off wins but I still don't care and neither does the rest of America.

Worst Team in the NFL:
While we learned last week that the Pittsburgh Steelers definitely deserve mention here the team to focus on as the worst this week is the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona is setting at 1-7 in the pathetic NFC West.

The Santa Clara 49ers?
In a move that rivals the Britney Spears Kevin Federline breakup, the 49ers are leaving San Francisco. Okay anyone could have seen the Spears/Federline divorce coming and people actually care about the 49ers leaving. Team owner John York insisted that he isn’t moving from the Bay Area or changing the team’s name. He is however moving the team 30 miles south of San Francisco to Silicon Valley where he hopes to open a new stadium by 2012.

While the move won’t really affect what little fan base the 49ers have left (the team’s training facility and offices have been in Santa Clara since 1987) but it will forever change the atmosphere of 49ers home games as the swirling winds of Candlestick will be lost.

Top 10
Thanks to a road win over the Patriots and a home meltdown by the Bears the Indianapolis Colts have taken over the top spot in the rankings this week.
