Buster's Best

Buster’s best is expanding and changing this season. First, it is changing because I am making Buster pick against the point spreads this season. He killed me going straight up and me picking the spread last season so I had to make changes.

It is expanding because Buster’s younger sister and brother want in on the action. They are going to get to pick the games straight up because they are first timers into this little family contest.

Because I don’t post my kids names on the internet we are using their nicknames instead. Boo is my daughter she is 7 and Mavin is our youngest son, he is 6.

We’ll pick games all season and see who has the best record at the end.

This Week’s Games

UAB at Oklahoma – The Sooners are 22 point favorites. Buster is picking Oklahoma to cover the 22 and I am as well.

North Texas at Texas – The Longhorns are favored by 41 over the Mean Green. I think that’s too many points to give a freshman led offensive attack. If the Longhorns cover it will be because the defense is scoring points as well. I’m taking North Texas and the points and so is Buster.

Louisiana Tech at Nebraska – The Huskers are favored by 22. For the last couple of years Nebraska has been bad against the spread early in the season. Buster thinks the Huskers will cover and I’m not so sure. I’ll take La. Tech and the points.

SMU at Texas Tech – The Red Raiders are favored by 26.5 and are breaking in freshman quarterback also. Buster is taking the Mustangs and the points and I am going to pick the Red Raiders to cover.

Notre Dame at Georgia Tech – The Yellow Jackets are 6.5 point underdogs to the Irish. I think Georgia Tech has a really good chance to win but am afrais to call the upset. I’ll take Notre Dame to cover and so does Buster.
