Blogging the NFL – Week 15

Game of the Week: Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts – Indy is hurting and the Bengals are trying to stay within reach of the Ravens. This game has the makings of a no-defense all out offensive slug fest.

I’ll go with the Colts to bounce back from getting thrashed by the Jaguars over the weekend.

Game Not Worth Watching: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens – With the season drawing to a close meaningless games will become more abundant. The Browns and the Ravens and the Ravens are heading in opposite directions. The Ravens are heading to the play-offs and the Browns are heading to a possible coaching change.

I like the Ravens to win big.

All the Comforts of Home
The Dallas Cowboys new stadium will feature a 60-yard-long, 50-foot-high scoreboard hanging over the football field, a glowing glass façade, sliding doors on both ends and of course a hole in the roof. The $1 Billion eighth wonder of the NFL is scheduled to open in 2009.

Everson Walls Still a Team Player
More than 20 years after they played together former NFL cornerback Everson Walls is giving one of his kidneys to former teammate Ron Springs. Springs is the father of current Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs and has been Walls best friend since their playing days in Dallas.

Hate to Say I Told You So…But
The Denver Broncos made a huge mistake in benching Jake Plummer for Jay Cutler. It sent the message to the team that the coaches have given up on the season for the benefit of the future. In watching the Broncos play it’s obvious that several players have followed suit and have tanked it in for the season. The problem is that Denver was in the midst of the Wild Card race.
