Blogging the NFL, Week 14

Game of the Week: New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys – Who isn’t excited about watching this game? Tony Romo could be the surprise player of the year and the Saints could be the surprise team of the year.

I’m going to go with the Cowboys to avoid the upset!

Game Not Worth Watching: Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers – There were actually several games to choose from this weekend. It definitely won’t go down as one of the greatest of all time. The NFL Network has got to be kicking themselves over the Browns and the Steelers. Anyway, back to the game at hand. The 49ers are improving and the Packers seem to digressing.

I’ll go with the 49ers.

I’m Sorry, Coach Said What?
Apparently Bill Parcells gave the Dallas Cowboys a good speech Sunday on what it takes to win a championship shortly after they beat the NY Giants to take a two game lead in the NFC East. Unfortunately Terrell Owens wasn’t paying attention. Instead he was already daydreaming about the birthday bash he was throwing himself in L.A.

"I can't remember. I had my mind on the party," he said when asked a second time about Monday's speech. "I have no earthly idea of what you are possibly talking about. I don't remember. I was already in L.A. ... He'll have to redo it."

When We Know We’ll Let You Know
The Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bill are scheduled to play each other on December 17th. It’s the kick-off time that has us confused. Initially it was 1p.m. EST but was changed to 4 p.m. because NBC picked up the San Diego/Kansas City game for their primetime slot. Now the game has been moved back to 1 p.m. Looks like the new NFL “Flex” schedule is flexing a little too much.

The upsets last week really made the picks interesting. Matt from the Fantasy Football N’ Stuff blog is this week’s guru. I’m afraid I’m losing my touch. Think you can win it this week? Make your picks in the forum.
