With only four Saturdays left in the 2007 college football season we can now look at the BCS Standings and try to make some sense of it. While I will always maintain that the current BCS formula is a mess I do believe that no one is a shoe in and there are seven teams who have a legitimate chance of playing in New Orleans. Here’s a look.
1. Ohio State (.9900) – The Buckeyes should be in the driver’s seat. They only have two games remaining on their regular season schedule and won’t have to play a conference championship game. If OSU avoids a possible trap game this weekend against Illinois and then survives a trip to the Big House then they would have earned the right to play for the BCS Championship.
