The first weekend of college football didn’t disappoint in upsets, blowouts and drama plus we still have the Bowden Bowl to deal with. Sure there are better days to come with more rivals and top 25 match ups but it’ll be a long, long time before we have another opening weekend like this one.
Stock Market Report
College football teams are like stocks on the market moving up and down or holding steady each week based on performance.
Teams Moving Up
Nebraska – The Huskers played a weaker and slower Nevada team but they did post a 52-10 win proving that they’ll be able to make a move for the Big 12 North title again. The best news for the Huskers was that their defense only gave up 3 points.
Hawaii – The Rainbow Warriors exploded with 63 points against Northern Colorado but the biggest thing on the islands right now is Colt Brennan who has a chance to lead his team to a BCS bowl game.
Oklahoma – All of Oklahoma’s questions were around the quarterback position. By halftime Sam Bradford had 350 yards passing with 3 touchdowns and all the questions answered.
Check out the teams holding steady and the teams who dropped following week 1 as well as my Top 10.
