Ken Griffey Jr. and Sammy Sosa are playing the role of baseball’s comeback kids this season despite the fact that both of them are well into the twilight of their careers. I have to admit that I laughed and scoffed at the Texas Rangers when they decided to make an attempt at reviving Sosa’s career by signing him to a minor league contract this spring. 59 RBI’s and 13 homeruns later I’m thinking that Sosa could be the best value for a buck in the majors. Meanwhile Ken Griffey Jr. is shaking off what has been an injury plagued stint in Cincinnati to hit .290 this season with 46 RBI’s and 21 homeruns.
