Oklahoma defeated Rice, 11-5, on Sunday afternoon to even the series in the Super Regional and force a final game on Monday at Reckling Park in Houston.
The winner of Monday’s game will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
OU also lost their opening game in last weekend’s NCAA regional and played with their backs against the wall the rest of the weekend. OU knocked out Houston, TCU and Wichita State twice to win the regional.
With Sunday’s win over Rice the Sooners are 5-0 in elimination games this post season. Here’s hoping the trend continues tomorrow.
