Dangerous Sports – Baseball

The best part about baseball isn’t the strikeouts, double plays or even the home runs. It’s the fights! This is a few years old but still worth taking a look at. ESPN compiled a list of their top 10 MLB fights. Enjoy!

Dangerous Sports – Figure Skating

I have to admit, I don’t watch figure skating. In fact I really don’t have a desire to watch anything on ice including Will Ferrell’s new movie Blades of Glory. However, after watching this video has changed my mind. I never really thought about how painful a fall looks when you fall face first skating full speed.

Dangerous Sports – Baseball

For the second week in a row we feature the sport of baseball in the Friday video segment. Last week it was baseball bloopers but this week it’s the dangerous side of the game better known as fielding the ball. Here’s a little tip, if you are going to lay out to catch a fly ball you might want to keep mind that there is a wall out there as well.

Dangerous Sports – Anything with a Board II

Let’s take the wheels off skate boards, polish them up and then jump them off mountains. This way if we fall we’ll land in snow and unlike concrete won’t hurt. Riiiiiight!

Dangerous Sports – Anything with a Board

Here’s a great idea. Let’s get a board, put some wheels on it and then try to ride and jump it over all kinds of stuff. Some people will get really good at it and make lots of money while most everyone else will just get hurt.

Dangerous Sports – Basketball

We’ve spent the last several Fridays showing you the dangers that athletes and participants from various sporting activities face but what about the spectators? You know there are always the dangers of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

The timing of this little guy’s mishap is so incredible that I would love to see the odds of something like this ever happening again.

Dangerous Sports – High School Hockey

By now we have established the Friday tradition of showing you some of the most dangerous and amazing plays from the world of sports. Today’s comes from the high school hockey ranks where a kid just left himself wide open to be destroyed against the boards.

Sweet gravy man! Turn your body sideways or something. You have to know going up to the boards that the hit is coming. Then again this kid may not know much of anything anymore.

Right now on the message board

Dangerous Sports – Trampoline Basketball

The good news is that I am heading to Jacksonville Florida this morning for the Super Bowl. The bad news is that the Super Bowl is in Miami. I get to spend the next five days away from the frigid tundra known as Oklahoma City though.

As far as this week’s dangerous sport goes, well, the video speaks for itself. Enjoy!

Dangerous Sports – Soccer

The problem with soccer is that the people who follow it closely are freaks and I mean that in the best possible way. Keep in mind that the definition of a freak is an ardent enthusiast. When things don’t go right the fans, players, officials and even mascots are known to riot. However, no one ever expected to see Mother Nature voice displeasure over a match.

Dangerous Sports

I’m a big fan of Kick Boxing/Mixed Marshal Arts fighting. I love to see knock-outs, thus my passion for boxing and Ultimate Fighting. Very seldom do you see an injury as gruesome as this one in those sports. While I’ve seen my fair share of broken bones this one takes the cake, earning a spot on Dangerous Sports.

Dangerous Sports

You are running out of time to go to the forum and get signed up for the NFL Play-Offs Picks Contest!

An insurance company has taken an Olympic javelin accident and turned it into a commercial. It’s kind of shocking but it gets the point across. Get it? Point? Ha! Okay, fine just watch the video.

Dangerous Sports

You know they say that boxing is one of the most dangerous sports around. I just always thought they meant it was dangerous for the boxers. Keep an eye on the referee in this match.
