Michael McDowell didn’t win the Samsung 500 Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, he actually didn’t even come close, but just the fact that he was able to run in the race and finished it a testament to his physical and mental toughness along with the safety precautions that the sport has taken to protect their drivers.
