Breaking Out The Bats

Call it a crazy Sunday, call it an exception, or just call it bad pitching. Call it what ever you want to but the Major League Baseball scores from Sunday looked a lot like NFL football scores. Six games on Sunday featured teams that scored 10 or more runs and in two of them it was both teams banging the ball around the park.

The Houston Astros scored eleven runs during the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings but it wasn’t enough to catch up with the San Diego Padres who scored 12 runs in the first two innings on their way to an 18 run performance in a game that would see a combined seven homeruns.
